**Starting in 2013 CNYRHA will hold a closed Derby and Futurity-(dates to be confirmed by Dec 2012)

**Auction will run from June 1st of the current auction year to May 31st of the following year. The minimum bid will be 1/2 the stallions advertised fee for current breeding year .

**All get from each Stallion sold will be eligible to compete in the closed Derby or futurity the year the get from sold breeding is eligible. Example: stallion sold through auction 2009 - foal born 2010- all get eligible to compete in closed Derby and futurity 2013.

**Stallion owners will receive free entry into either the Open or Non pro portion of the closed derby OR futurity if their stallion is sold. In the case that the stallion is not sold through the auction the stallion owner will have the option to make 1 (one) entry into either the Open or Non Pro Closed Derby OR Futurity for 1/2 the entry fee. This will be on a year to year basis.

**Winner of breeding in auction will receive 1/2 price entry into the open or non pro portion of the closed futurity for the foal resulting from the breeding. (breeding bought in 2008- bred in 2009- foal eligible for 1/2 price entry in 2013 futurity) If foal is sold eligibilty is transferable.

**The free entry will apply to the Open or Non Pro portion of the Closed Derby OR Futurity only- owner wishing to enter into the Intermediate or Limited portion of the closed derby or futurity must pay entry fee into those divisions.

**Winner of auction will be responsible for all charges incurred with breeding as in chute/collection/shipping and vet costs. The only charge covered by purchase is the breeding fee itself.

**The retainage of entry fees in the Closed portion of the Derby or Futurity will be 20%. Currently 100% of the monies received from the auction and calendar sales will be placed into the closed portion of the Derby and Futurity. With 1/4 going into the Open Derby, 1/4 going into the Non Pro Derby, 1/4 going into the Open Futurity and 1/4 going into the Non Pro Futurity.

**CNYRHA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, extend deadlines, or otherwise modify the rules as necessary to deal with unforeseen circumstances which arise.
